COMSEFAZ Headquarters

Memória do projeto

The primary premise behind the design of the COMSEFAZ headquarters (National Committee of Finance Secretaries of the Brazilian States and the Federal District) was to create a space capable of welcoming committees from across Brazil, bringing together the 27 State Finance Secretaries and their advisory teams. The layout was organized around the main auditorium, the central element of the project's program.

The reception area also plays a key role within the design. Beyond organizing circulation between the auditorium and the workspaces, it creates a welcoming first impression for visitors, reflecting the institution's identity from the moment they arrive.

Throughout the office areas, visual openness toward the common spaces was encouraged through the use of glass partitions with integrated blinds, allowing privacy whenever required. More restricted areas, including the executive offices, the presidency, and the finance department, were designed to ensure greater confidentiality.

Supporting the institution's day-to-day operations, a fully equipped pantry was incorporated with all the appliances typically found in a residential kitchen, allowing meals to be prepared during committee meetings and institutional events.

COMSEFAZ's visual identity is expressed throughout the project. Its signature blue is the predominant color in the carpeting and custom millwork, while the organization's logo is incorporated into the walls and lighting design.

As with the studio's broader portfolio of corporate and institutional headquarters, the project seeks to provide a comfortable and healthy workplace while reinforcing the institution's identity. Custom millwork, color, and lighting became the key design elements, translating the brand's graphic language into the built environment through linear compositions, circulation axes, and carefully articulated textures.
